Care & Share
Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we will strive to fulfill the three-fold mission of the Church:
proclaim the message of Jesus; promote community and fellowship; provide service and encouragement for the people in our community and the larger community of the church.
Serving our McAnthony Window Patrons
In 1985, then pastor Fr. Kenneth Martin, in honor of St. Anthony, patron saint of the poor, began the "Care and Share" program which set aside funds from the weekly parish collection to aid the poor and needy. To facilitate distribution of the food, Father Conroy opened what became known as the McAnthony Window at the rear of the rectory.
The McAnthony Window feeds in excess of 200 homeless and needy persons five days a week.
Each Thanksgiving and Christmas season parishioners and others in the community donate and deliver over 1,800 food baskets per holiday. Sign up for the baskets is done in person in our parish center. Dates and times are made available on our church phone system as soon as they are given by the Parish Council.
