St. Anthony's Parish Health Ministry

Members of the Parish Health Ministry provide a caring outreach by listening to the needs and assisting persons to connect with services. We meet monthly, usually the last Monday of the month at 11am in the Parish Center
Past and Ongoing activities of the Parish Health Ministry include:
- Keeping an eye on the AED, make sure the battery is good and that the pads are current etc.
- Obtained a new first aide kit that is quite comprehensive. It is housed in a box next to the AED in the church.
- AED/CPR classes
- Blood drives
- A colon screening event aimed at our McAnthony's Window patrons and gave out gift cards if they participated.
- Annual Lenten Virtual walks, last year to Jerusalem, this year Rome.
- We are doing a biblical verse on health for the weekly newsletter and bulletin. Occasionally we will submit an article on important topics like flu season etc.
- We are looking into replenishing our stock of Narcan to have available for the McAnthony Window patrons.
