Adult Faith Formation
Through participating in adult faith formation, you grow in your faith commitment as a disciple of Christ.
You will be provided with spiritual and educational programs in a variety of areas: social justice,
sacraments, documents of Pope Francis, evangelization to name a few. The focus is to build a
community of believers who live their faith with compassion.
Examples of previous Adult Faith Formation activities include:
Hosting Parish Missions
"Just" Soup - bowl of soup and social justice presentation
"A Biblical Walk through the Mass"
Book discussions e.g. Writings of Pope Francis
Next Book Discussion begins this October 9, 2017
This fall's book is Forming Intentional Disciples by Sherry Weddell. The book points out that there are "immense challenges and immense opportunities" for the Catholic Church. To address the challenges and seize the opportunities, the author says that "evangelizers (you and I) must first be evangelized." She says, "Catholics in the pew must make a conscious choice to know and follow Jesus before they can draw others to Him." We will learn ways to "transform parish life from within" by beginning with transforming ourselves.
The six week session includes both day and evening opportunities to attend. Mark your calendar with these dates/times...
Monday's 1 p.m. - October 9, 16, 23, 30, November 6, 13.
Wednesday's 6:30 p.m. - October 11, 18, 25, November 1, 8, 15.
Books will be available to purchase in September.
